H.L. MENCKEN OUTS SENATOR ROCKEFELLER

H. L. Mencken once remarked that "the urge to save humanity is always a false front for the urge to rule it."

Guess what the idiot from West Virginia burped up today concerning the "NEED" to rule, oops, "regulate" the Internet.

Senator Jay Rockefeller, the Democratic chairman of the Senate commerce committee, which oversees the FCC, said he supported the FCC, but added: “In the short term, this is the right course and the right thing to do. In the long term, I believe we need to develop consensus to update the law, further safeguard consumers, and spur universal broadband deployment.”

Yes Senator, we MUST safeguard the consumer so yes, you MUST seize control of the Internet. After all, we're TOO STUPID to make our own decisions. We NEED you to think for us. Damn a liberal.

EXCERPT: "The Federal Communications Commission on Thursday took its first formal step towards the adoption of new regulations for the broadband industry, setting the stage for what could become one of the most expensive lobbying campaigns to hit Capitol Hill by major telecommunications and cable providers. In a 3-2 vote along party lines, Democrats at the FCC on Thursday agreed to begin formal consideration to adopt new rules for high- speed internet companies such as AT&T and Comcast, which have until now operated virtually free of the FCC’s oversight. Technically, the FCC’s majority passed a motion to “open for comment” new broadband rules, the first step to passing the rules."

WHY does the Obummer Administration seek to grab control over the Internet? Could it be that Comrade Barry and his thin-skinned serial narcissist ass can't stand having the Alternative Media out his thugs in the SEIU and out the MILLIONS of dollars scammed by ACORN? The election fraud by ACORN? Bloggers like the Gunny watching his every move and educating people on our American ROOTS, the Founders, and our Constitutional Republic?

What these bastards cannot and will never understand is: WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED!

It seems that we're outraged DAILY about the excesses of this progressive regime from Hell. Who is dictating this? Soros? God knows that the fugitive from justice, the sugar daddy of the Dummycrats, must hate having the links between him, Media Matters, and the Obummer regime exposed daily. The liberal traitors must HATE having their every backdoor deals and shadow party agenda outed. Small wonder Rockefeller the Tool stands against liberty and freedom. Just another scumbag liberal at work.

WHAT'S IN STORE FOR AMERICA UNDER OBUMMER!

  1. Since I work for a major Internet provider, this impacts me directly. I followed the FCC vs Comcast action closely in regard to Net Neutrality, which was an out right attempt by the government central planners to dictate to providers how we should prioritize our network traffic(amongst other things). Thankfully the courts ruled against the FCC in that case. Now these tyrants want to change the rules of the game by changing Internet service providers classification to Utilities thereby running the Obama end-around. These scumbags hate capitalism, entrepreneurship/individualism and freedom in general. I will send more email to my senators and my congressman to aggressively oppose this chicanery. The FCC and it's masters in the WH claim this will increase choice to consumers when all it will really do is cost providers more to deliver services which in turn is passed on to the customer. I urge everyone who enjoys using the internet at a reasonable price to email their legislators to oppose this FCC measure.

"We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force." Ayn Rand

  3. I will be talking to my Senators, and congress critter (as you call them).
I don't want to have to set in a tiny room with a short wave radio trying to learn the truth.
Come November, when it has all gone Republican, then they will really switch into high gear to push through all they can. This being wone thing.
Also Gunny, as per your poll this week. What if we were attacked. Could Odumdum call Marshal Law?
This government is so corrupt, nothing is too dirty for them to pull.

  4. should have said, when Congress and Senate has all gone Republican, then, between then and Janurary 2011, they will pass everything they can. This internet thing being one of them.
Sometimes I don't explain thing very well.

  6. Seems to me they're ALL powergrabbers.

The courts smacked their hand once now they're back after the same ting with a different name.

Kinda like the Leiberman/Hanoi John cap & trade bill that they say ain't a cap & trade bill....

  7. Hiya Guns,

like what you've done with the place. Back on topic, the world is indeed an upside down place.

While you've got this crapola going on, we here in Canada have a French-Canadian media tycoon from Quebec, our most socialist province, planning to launch a sort of Fox News North, a right-wing news channel.

Imagine that, identifying an under served audience and trying to make a buck meeting demand. What was that sort of economic system called again, with all this public edjumacation I plumb forgot.

  8. Great look Gunny. Along with the commentary. One thing about all these power grabs by these bastards are having ONE good effect. People ARE waking up to which party is the worse of the two when it comes to eroding freedoms. The damnable GOP had best start screaming from the mountaintops THEIR differences,or November COULD be a bust for them.

  9. Everyone can write their Congressmen and Senators until their hands fall off THEY ARE NOT LISTENING,this Government does not give a flying f**k what the people want or say,Democrats are having a power orgy, outrages against the country are increasing in intensity by this far left regime daily, half the country will soon be classified as "domestic terrorists"

    ReplyDelete
  10. I think you're right, Donnie. I think that "domestic terrorist" is defined by Progressives as "antiProgressive".

Remember the memo DHS Sec. Napolitano had sent out to all law enforcement, telling them to watch groups of people including ex-military? Ex-military includes retirees, and there's a lot of them. Don't forget that they would identify "known associates". That would include family and friends, and even friends (associates) of friends.

Getting half the country on a terrorist watch list would be a piece of cake.

  11. If the gummint takes charge, all cable and internet will be like Charter...they SUCK!

Here's hoping that Comcast wins, and then they come down here and buy Charter's dominion in Fort Worth, TX.

  12. So, if these thugs allow this control to go through, what will they do when someone else is the majority and this comes back to bite them in the azz?

  13. rikdergis,

Like the quote from Ayn. I've already deluged by Rep/Sen and plan to keep it up.

  14. Nanna,

If we're hit, the Feds can invoke martial law in that area, just like during Katrina. As far as doing it nationwide? I don't think they can get away with it but I have no doubt that this regime would try it.

  15. Pack Rat,

We're getting 1984 first to get Soylent green later!

  16. Buck,

You're dead on. THAT is how these bastards wear us down. They have no REAL job so tehy can sit around and have their staffers draft crapulence after crapulence until they get what they want.

  17. philo,

Let's hope he rocks with it. It seems like EVERYONE is moving towards the right, Europe especially, while this regime tries to drag us to the radical left.

  18. clyde,

Thanks, I had to reflect the view outside of my cabin! haha.

I agree, the GOP should be pointing out this crap from the rooftops. Maybe they're working on growing a set before they do.

  19. Donnie,

Scary thought but you may be closer to the mark than we'd like to think.
