TIME TO DISBAND THE EPA

(Monday' edition out early)

EXCERPT: "When the Environmental Protection Agency said in late June that it would force Western coal-fired power plants to install haze-reducing pollution-control equipment at a cost of $1.5 billion a year, it said it had to in order to settle a lawsuit by environmental groups. One organization involved in the suit, the Environmental Defense Fund, has a long history of taking the EPA to court. In fact, a cursory review finds almost half a dozen cases in the past 10 years. The odd thing is that the EPA, in turn, has handed EDF $2.76 million in grants over that same period, according to an IBD review of the agency's grant database. This strange relationship goes well beyond EDF. Indeed, several environmental groups that have received millions in EPA grants regularly file suit against that same agency. A dozen green groups were responsible for more than 3,000 suits against the EPA and other government agencies over the past decade, according to a study by the Wyoming-based Budd-Falen Law Offices.

The EPA even tacitly encourages such suits, going so far as to pay for and promote a "Citizen's Guide" that, among other things, explains how to sue the agency under "citizen suit" provisions in environmental laws. The guide's author — the Environmental Law Institute — has received $9.9 million in EPA grants over the past decade.

And, to top it off, critics say the EPA often ends up paying the groups' legal fees under the Equal Access to Justice Act."
-------------------------------------------------------------
How many millions, maybe BILLIONS, has this kind of crap cost us over the last 30-40 years since the clowns in the Environmental Defense Fund have been playing this game? How many businesses have gone bankrupt thanks to them? How many Americans found themselves out of a job thanks to these bastards? How many industries have they affected, which then affected our economy, hurting the entire nation?

The EDF's website actually references Rachel Carson's bullshit book, "Silent Spring," which blamed DDT for weakening egg shells, which was later debunked as a pack of lies and bullshit science, (sounds like global warming, global cooling, climate change, etc.).

Their board of trustees includes the former president of Chile, Ricardo Lagos, a Leftist. Now WHY would the former president of Chile be involved with an organization that works hard to limit drilling, mining, refining, American businesses, etc.? Also on the board is one Kathryn Murdoch, a board member of the Clinton Climate Initiative, which is hellbent on subjugating us to UN control in every aspect of so-called climate change. In addition, The Honorable Thomas H. Kean is also on the board of the EDF and he is the Chairman, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is involved in things like:

1.  Viewing the United States as a racist nation that does not sufficiently value the well-being of minorities.

2.  Advocating the implementation of a taxpayer-funded, government-run health-care system.

and they are involved with groups and foundations such as: the Tides Foundation and Tides Center; Greenpeace International; American Bar Association Fund for Justice and Education; the Rockefeller Family Fund; La Clinica de la Raza; Columbia University; Harvard University; National Public Radio; and the vermin at UC Berkeley.

On the National Council, there is a rabid libtard by the name of Barbara Streisand, who also funds the EDF with the Streisand Foundation, who like to fund groups engaged in things like environmental activism (think ELF/ALF), nuclear disarmament (think America unarmed), and of course, gun control, and they use/fund the American Civil Liberties Union. Babs also funds the Tides Center and Foundation, Rainforest Action Network, the Earth Day Network; Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN); Voting for America (think voter fraud); Equality Now; the American Civil Liberties Union Foundation (ACLU); Human Rights Watch (anti-American/Israeli group); People for the American Way (PFAW) (SERIOUS Progressive group); the William J. Clinton Presidential Foundation; and others.

And speaking of BJ Bubba, naturally there is one of his minions on the EDF's council, one Frank Loy, who served BJ Bubba as a negotiator for climate change and genetically modified agriculture. Oddly enough, he also served as a co-chair for Monsanto, who stands to reap billions on federal legislation banning home garden plots, as reported by the Anti Liberal Zone a few months back. Ol Frank was also BJ Bubba's Under Secretary of State for Global Affairs, probably hob-nobbing with the likes of such criminals like Kofi Annan at the UN. Funny how the Left has tentacles everywhere as the current Under Secretary of State for Global Affairs once worked for Kofi Annan and is foreign born (Bolivia), one Maria Otero.

So we have the EPA actually PAYING enviro-nazi groups to SUE the EPA in order for the EPA to crack down on businesses, with the end result being the US Taxpayer getting the shaft along with those of us who buy gas, use electricity, etc. The EDF touts their role in getting DT banned, which has resulted in tens of millions in Third World countries dying from diseases that had been brought under control with DDT, i.e., malaria, dengue fever, etc.

The EPA is a rogue agency that needs to be disbanded, along with the ATF, the TSA, the DHS, the Department of Energy, the NLRB, the BLM, and probably three or four more who are useless and merely spending our money as they weaken the nation. How much longer will the US Taxpayer be screwed by a government out of control? How much longer will we allow the EPA to screw us over as they work in cahoots with the enviro-nazis?

The American people need to seriously demand a reckoning of their government, from the top on down, and the sooner the better. From Obama's vast number of lies, to Operation Fast and Furious, to bullshit legislation that curtails our freedoms, and crap like Holder's refusal to prosecute the New Black Panthers for voter intimidation.

Coal Industry under attack by EPA.

"Under my plan, energy prices would naturally skyrocket." King Putt.

Dear Congress, can we impeach this bum NOW? PLEASE?

  1. Do you really think any of this is a surprise?

Okay, so there are folks who don't pay attention like we do. I might have to link this column on Wednesday.

  2. Craw,

It simply pisses me off that the EPA and the enviro-nazis are in cahoots against us and the Congress does NOTHING!

It is going to take a generation, maybe two, to unscrew all that the Leftards have done and make it right.

  3. Gunny,

The EPA was established to protect the environment thus providing us with clean air, water, and land. That pendulum has swung too far and everyone knows it. Common sense regulations have long gone out the window.

The EPA uses the enviros as a justification for their existence and for more and more regulations. It's a great scam.

Throw in the Dept of Education. They have never taught a child anything.

  4. HJC,we knew that government seemed to attract the inept, this shit proves it beyond a shadow of a doubt. PAYING the enviro-whackos to sue you? Makes one want to choke the idiots.

  5. Funny how BJ Bubba's aides and counselors keep popping up in ultra left wing and just plain Marxist organizations, ain't it?
    Not "Ha ha" funny, either.
Nearly every alphabet agency is a government encroachment on states' rights.
Each state should determine its own "EPA" standards.
    Ditto schools and education.
    Ditto all of 'em.

This is what happens when the American people fall asleep at the switch. The EPA has been out of control for a long time, we just finally noticed it.

  9. Gunny, This is really a good post, as usual!!

I have been yelling about these enviro nuts for years now. There havebeen over 100 million people die from maleria, because of the ban of DDT. (the nuts try and give them nets). Farmers in California have lost their farms that have been in their families for years in order to save a 1 inch fish.
We have had our light bulbs taken away to save electricity by these same nuts. While our prez is pushing a atupid Volt car that must be charged with YEP...electricity.
Same nuts trying to stop oil drilling because of a lizard that no Texan has ever seen.
A lot of people have seen these crazies for a long time. But the right people in government hadn't been hurt yet.
Maybe we are about to get some common sense in our leaders now that will do something about these power grabbing envionuts. Lord I hope so Gunny.

  11. Every time a government bureaucracy is formed it is with good intentions. Well, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
It is the nature of govt. departments to want to expand. They get more money, they get more power and if it's for the chiiiillldrrrren, it is patted on the head and told to continue it's noble cause.

Obama has simply figured out that he can let them loose and then he can get his radical leftist agenda put in place without Congress and without a lot of people noticing.
