WHEN ARE WE JUSTIFIED TO ACT

"I believe that liberty is the only genuinely valuable thing that men have invented, at least in the field of government, in a thousand years. I believe that it is better to be free than to be not free, even when the former is dangerous and the latter safe. I believe that the finest qualities of man can flourish only in free air – that progress made under the shadow of the policeman's club is false progress, and of no permanent value. I believe that any man who takes the liberty of another into his keeping is bound to become a tyrant, and that any man who yields up his liberty, in however slight the measure, is bound to become a slave." H.L. Mencken

When is violence or violent revolution justified?

Just for the sake of discussion, consider the following hypothetical incident.

You served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968 and came home to finish out your time in the military at Fort Bragg. Your twin brother, who is in the Marines, then goes to Vietnam to serve there and goes missing in action. Years go by and you read over and over where there has been credible sightings of Americans kept in Vietnam against their will, by the Communists after the peace treaty was signed. Then one day, you read a story in a paper, wherein a Senator shredded information, lied, obfuscated, and then shut down the POW/MIA Committee, basically consigning your twin brother to a death sentence, that is, if he was still alive many years AFTER the war was over. You read that this was done in order for a relative of the Senator to be able to make real estate deals in Vietnam.

Now we know that this Senator would never face a trial because he is rich, the government is corrupt, and not only will many of them NEVER serve in the military but their children will go from high school, to an Ivy League school, and then into business, the government, etc., and thus, they really don’t give a damn about the hoi polloi.

So you take matters into your own hands and "hit" the Senator to make him pay for his treason against the nation and get away scot free.

Were you right or wrong to act thusly?

Consider something closer to home.

Recently, Nutsy Baloney babbled that she would disclose information from the House Ethics Committee investigations in regards to Newt Gingrich. When Gingrich stated in public that Nutsy would be engaging in an ethical violation, the hag backed off. However, Nutsy also engaged in blackmail, the definition of which is: "gaining or attempting to gain anything of value or compelling another to act against such person's will, by threatening to communicate accusations or statements about any person that would subject such person or any other person to public ridicule, contempt or degradation."

Is this not EXACTLY what Nutsy did?

Now once again, we KNOW that nothing is going to happen to her because Nutsy is rich, she is powerful, has powerful elitist friends, is part of the Party of Corruption (Democrat), the government is corrupt, and they no longer give a damn about the Rule of Law in America. They are almost as bad as the Nazis or Soviet elites who did as they pleased and the hell with the commoners.

So hypothetically speaking, say a group of Americans walk into her office when Nutsy is back in California, arrest her in the name of the Constitution, with an arrest warrant issued from another state, and take her back to that state, say, Montana, to put her on trial.

Is that right or wrong? She committed a felony in full view of everyone watching the episode and arresting her would be appropriate right? Do we not punish criminals in America or maybe we just punish those who can’t afford a Johnny "if the glove don’t fit, you must acquit," Cochran. Why can’t US citizens make a citizen’s arrest of a felonious scumbag and serve up a plate of justice? Doesn't the Constitution guarantee "equal justice under the law" for all US Citizens?

Consider the housing crisis meltdown and WHO was responsible.

Jimmy Carter for signing the CRA into law. BJ Bubba Clinton for doubling down on it. Barney Frank and Chris Dodd for fighting ANY reform of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the Democrat’s cash cows, and anyone else who fought against reforms. THAT is the epicenter of TRILLIONS of lost dollars and thousands of foreclosures of private property and the imposition of misery on jobless Americans and they are responsible for it even as Franklin Raines and Jamie Gorelick took MILLIONS in bonuses, even as they cooked the books.

Once again, we know that they who make the laws will never put themselves under the same law because, as elitists, they think themselves above it. So how to administer justice? Carter is a senile fool with one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel but BJ Bubba is making MILLIONS speaking and interfering in government and would it not be proper to arrest him? Could a people’s court arrest Frank and Dodd, in the name of the Constitution, put them on trial and leave them tarred and feathered on a street corner in DC after justice was administered? Is that just because again, as we have seen over and over, politicians commit crimes and then cover for themselves over and over again. Hell, Diane Feinstein directed military contracts to her husband’s companies and NOTHING happened to her! My God, if the Gunny had done this, he’d be in the slammer so fast it would not be funny. They commit crimes and either retire or resign, never to be punished.

Americans came to the North American continent seeking economic, political, and religious liberty and when a tyrannical government attempted to hinder those liberties, the colonists were angered more and more by every new outrage. Thus, there was no single act or event which led to the Revolution but a succession of incidents, insults, events, and abuses that when taken all together, persuaded the colonists that revolution against Britain was the only course of action that they could take.

So now we have a president who taunts the population with class warfare, having commies visit him in the White House, goes on yet another vacation (cost: 4Mil), with a Veep named Biden, who calls a portion of the population "terrorists," (TEA party), but who endorse a herd of unwashed sheeple who crap in the street, piss on police cars, cause violence, destroy private property, infringe on the rights of others, and make a nuisance of themselves. We have a Congress who spends like a drunken Senator from Taxachusetts, who ALLOWS the violation of our 4th and 5th Amendments by the TSA not only in airports but also on the highways in Tennessee now, and worse yet, a Senate who had not performed their Constitutional requirement of passing a budget for almost THREE YEARS! We have a corrupt SOB in the DOJ who is lying to Congress on a scandal (Operation Fast and Furious) that has gotten people MURDERED and who refuses to cooperate with the Congressional/Senate investigation. We also have an idiot running the DHS who has called returning Iraq War vets "possible domestic terrorists" yet clearly ignoring Obama’s ties to REAL domestic terrorists like Ayers, Dornh, Trumka, Piven, and Stern, to name a few, who call for VIOLENT Leftist revolution. And they all refuse to secure our southern border and Americans have died because of it.

If the American people rose up in righteous anger, say, tomorrow, quite clearly it would be justified. Not the Occutards who aren’t worth a tinker’s dam and are just useful idiots for the hardcore Leftists mentioned above but the 53% of the Republic who pay taxes, work for a living, send their sons and daughters to the serve this nation in the military, and who give a damn about the condition of the Republic.

"The time is now near at hand which must probably determine, whether Americans are to be, Freemen, or Slaves; whether they are to have any property they can call their own; whether their Houses, and Farms, are to be pillaged and destroyed, and they consigned to a State of Wretchedness from which no human efforts will probably deliver them. The fate of unborn Millions will now depend, under God, on the Courage and Conduct of this army-Our cruel and unrelenting Enemy leaves us no choice but a brave resistance, or the most abject submission; that is all we can expect-We have therefore to resolve to conquer or die." General George Washington (before the Battle of Long Island)

2012 is the tipping point folks. Get involved and STAY INVOLVED.

  3. Two things come to mind:
    First.
When Castro took over he was lining people up at Moro Castle and shooting them and the press had a screaming fit.
What the press didn't mention was those folks Castro was lining up were corrupt judges, politicians and lackeys.
Of course he was just getting rid of them so his own judges, politicians and lackeys could take over but he did purge the Batista government.
    Second.
I can't remember when or where I first heard it but some thinker said,
"When justice breaks down, violence will ensue."

  7. Gunny,

A very wise man once told me that if I was right, I should beat on the table and throw chairs around to get (senior officers) to listen.

    But I better be right.

We are always justified to act - if we are right.

  8. And another thing, notice that those biggest offenders (too many to list) are the same ones who use the word ""fairness"" in ever other sentence. (well, almost) We got a corrupt phony in the WH using "fairness" every third word, and look at his record. (well, you really can't see it) But we're supposed to think he and the others stand for "FAIRNESS" and telling everyone to pay their fair share.

Please refresh my memory. Which Senator was that?

  10. Outstanding as always Gunny! Have a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year! As for ovomit and his cronies, "When he is judged, let him come forth guilty, and let his prayer become sin. Let his days be few; let another take his office." Psalm 109:7-8

  11. American Patriot,

I concur. Right now we're going to act at the ballot box but later? Maybe the cartridge box. It just seems that DC is broken and refuses to reset itself along the lines of the Constitution.

  15. TGP,

Great post. I was told much of the same AND that I'd better have a solution ready to roll.

  16. Jeff,

The hypocrisy of the Left AND the RINOs is enough to make a strong man puke his guts out. They are there to screw us over and get rich, nothing else.

  17. Hardnox,

I believe that it was a certain Senator who dodged 500K in taxes on his boat.
