THE MARCH OF TYRANNY CONTINUES

On 22 August, 2011, the Wall Street Journal published an article entitled "Federal Asset Seizures Rise, Netting Innocent With Guilty." This article should upset every freedom-loving American. (link below)

In America today, people like Cass Sunstein write more and more regulations that authorize federal agencies to confiscate private property. Private property is the cornerstone of our freedom, written into the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence by our Founders who saw the Crown seize private property on the thinnest of excuses.

Indeed, the Fifth Amendment, the origins of which can be traced back to the Magna Carta in 1215 clearly states:

"No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation."

Without due process of law. Without just compensation. Yeah the regime violates both.

1. James Lieto, had $392,000 illegally seized by the FBI when they busted an armored car company. Now in criminal justice proceedings, if there is 1 million bucks involved, say in a drug bust, all they need to show is one C note to prove that point. So why did the FBI do this? (Eric Holder anyone?)

2. Raul Stio was suspected of a crime by the Treasury Department and they illegally seized $150,000 + from his account. Ten months later, no charges have been filed against him and the money not returned.

3. Jorge Jaramillo has 16K illegally seized during a traffic stop. WHAT law prevents an America from carrying a fat wad of cash? In the case of Jorge Jaramillo, he was going to buy a car with cash. The joke that is the DOJ stated that the money was related to drug dealing because, get this, Jorge had "air fresheners in his car which could mask the smell of drugs and a fast-food bag containing cigar tobacco, which the filing said was often a sign that the cigar wrapper had been used to smoke marijuana." Damn, the Gunny better get his air freshener out of his car and clean those cigar wrappers off of the floor or Holder’s Gestapo might come a-calling. Oh, even better is that the DOJ bleated that a drug dog "alerted" on the cash. What a crock of shit. THIS is what passes for an explanation of why the Feds seized this guy's cash? SOMEONE should have been fined for this but then again, they just pay the fine with OUR tax dollars.

Under the Holder DOJ, the total value of confiscated property had exceeded $2.5 billion, double from five years ago, in 15,000 cases, yet the Liberal Lapdog media is silent as church mice and the ACLU is unconcerned that a whopping majority of the cases were non-criminal but they’ll sure rush to defend the websites of homos.

The crux of the issue is this, through regulations from asshats like Cass Sunstein, they have made it possible to arrest any man, woman, or child under some flimsy regulation and seize their assets. This is how Nazi Germany got started folks and it is going on like gangbusters with the Obama Regime. You won’t even be able to hire a lawyer because you have no money and the Regime KNOWS THIS and YOU will have to prove that you aren’t guilty, if you are even charged with a crime!

Even if guilty of a crime (think Madoff) the government skims a profit. They seize 2.5 BILLION from Madoff's bank account and pay out 293 MILLION to the victims, thus banking a 2.47 BILLION dollar profit. Hell, they've been skimming the profits on Social Security since its inception. Who says that crime don’t pay?

Why didn’t the IRS seize Turbo Tax Timmy’s assets? Or Solis’? or Dashhole’s? Or Selbelius’? Or Paulson’s? Why wasn’t Goldman Sachs assets seized when the SEC charged Goldman with securities fraud in the Abacus CDO? Oh wait, Goldman/Sachs funded Obama and many of his minions are former Goldman/Sachs employees. Ah, NOW the Gunny understands it. Far easier to go after the weak and defenseless, who cannot stand up to the Federal Colossus vice those in bed with this regime. What they are counting out is the intimidation of the American people to just suck it up and not fight back but this is how revolutions start. If some bureaucrat seizes the wealth of someone and that bureaucrat ends up dead, will the next one will think twice before screwing an American citizen over?

Case-in-point: "Justice Department officials say they rarely lose such cases, a fact they cite as evidence the system is working properly."

No, it means that our government has rigged the game AGAINST the people.

At one point brothers and sisters, and the Gunny DOES NOT advocate violent revolution in America, like Trumka, Piven, SEIU thugs, Anita Dunn, Van Jones, and others on the Left BUT there is going to come a time when they exceed our patience and we kick their asses for them. Get on your knees and thank God and the Founding Fathers for the Second Amendment and keep your eyes open to the violations of our right. Word to the wise, KNOW YOUR RIGHTS AND EXERCISE THEM!
