CORVALLIS, Ore. – Investigators say suspected arson at a Corvallis Islamic center appears to have been started by someone who broke a window and tossed a container of flammable liquid inside. The Sunday fire destroyed part of the center where Mohamed Osman Mohamud — the 19-year-old man accused of plotting a mass killing in Portland — occasionally worshipped.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Residents in the Oregon town of Corvallis are showing their support for an Islamic center where a teenager accused of plotting mass killings in Portland occasionally worshipped. Mohamed Osman Mohamud pleaded not guilty Monday in federal court in Portland to attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction. The 19-year-old was arrested Friday. The FBI is investigating a Sunday fire that destroyed part of the Islamic center where Mohamud attended while going to Oregon State University. The parking lot in front of the charred prayer center drew community members and Corvallis religious leaders Monday to offer prayers and support against what they called an abhorrent act of arson. People have left plants, flowers and cards in front of the entrance.

2.  The UAW made out nicely while the US taxpayer, got screwed again, with only a 30% gain. WE, the taxpayer, who did not want this bailout in the first place, only got back $13.7 billion out of the 50B we got soaked for. We MIGHT get another $1.8B by December 31, if we're lucky and GM is paying back $9.5B. That STILL leaves us 25B short. Shouldn't the TAXPAYERS have gotten the first bite of the apple until that 50B was repaid? Evidently, not with this Regime.

So Obama fires the CEO, guides GM into bankruptcy court, gets the court to put UAW's  interests ahead of everyone else, INCLUDING the old investors in GM (who should have made out better than they did - they got zippo) if normal bankruptcy laws had been followed and the White House "auto task force" did not "hook up" the bankruptcy. Democrats are nothing if not consistent, rewarding their political allies through fancy sleights of hand and scams.

Obama and his UAW pals scammed Americans like Craig Coffey (retiree), who had 55K invested in old GM, never got one thin dime. "We just sat and watched [the stock offering]. We got nothing. Screwed again."

Add one more scam that this Regime is involved in that Congressman Issa seriously needs to look into. It'll take a decade to unravel the financial scammage that Obama and the Goldman/Sachs parasites rife in his regime have done and another decade to bring them to justice, if ever. Consider what the 4th Amendment has to say: "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

So Mr.Storemski thinks it is okay to have these cameras since, in his words, "We're just doing it for public safety purposes." We have the RIGHT to be secure in our effects, that means things like cars, purses, packages, briefcases, etc. Do these cameras zoom in? So if you are in your car, and you open your car door, does the government have the right to zoom in to see what you have in there? How about the trunk? A police officer pulls you over for a bad tail light and unless they have probable cause, they cannot just search your car. They can ASK your permission and if you are dumb enough to give it, then you deserve what you get. But a camera can zoom in and do in effect, what a police officer, by law, cannot, unless he again, has probable cause.

Mr. Storemski states that "everyone" has a cell phone in public and that this is no different. That is comparing apples to oranges. A person walking around with a cell phones does not have the capability or technology to anonymously zoom in to eyeball something of interest to them. They are a private citizen, not a government with access to databases, personal files, etc.

What happens to the woman near a camera who opens her purse to get something out. That is a fairly private act, even in a public place, yet what happens if the camera operator zooms in? Is that not an invasion of her privacy? Say she has a weapon in there, does the camera operator call the cops? When they grab her and she shows a CCW permit, is that not an unlawful detention because she was a citizen going about her legitmate business. But liberals will scream and moan if an illegal alien has to produce ID in order to vote and God forbid that an illegal alien have to pay out-of-state tuition! YEOW, look out.

How about conversation? Is that not covered under the 4th Amendment? The government cannot simply wiretap your phone, or listen in on your cell phone can they? Unless again, they have probable cause. Where is the Left on this, they who raised hell about the Patriot Act (written by Joe Biden), tapping the phones of suspected terrorists, reading emails from suspected terrorists, and horror of horrors, checking up at libraries on what suspected terrorists have been reading.

What will Americans say when they install cameras, like the ones in London, that have directional microphones on them so that "they" can listen in on potential "crimes?" That it is all in the name of public safety? Will they feel safer because the government can listen in on potential terrorists?

One has to wonder what the excuse was in Germany to allow Brownshirts to patrol the streets? Public safety? Crime control?

What is the most disturbing thing here is that Storemski would link these cameras with solving crimes in London. That is all well and good except for one thing, the English do not have a Constitution that specifically limits government, WE DO! It appears that once again, the Constitution is being trampled by this regime, all in the name of "security."

Americans had better look to the words of their Founding Fathers, who fled from tyranny seeking freedom, and who knew full well what tyranny was all about. Ben Franklin observed: "Those who would trade in their freedom for their protection deserve neither. Those who give up their liberty for more security neither deserve liberty nor security." And it was Thomas Jefferson who later observed that they WILL get neither and deservedly so.

Consider what our ancestors faced from King George III and what we have had to deal with from a disconnected and uncaring Federal Government and that we, as a people, have not revolted yet. We had ObamaKare rammed down our throats. We had bailouts rammed down our throats. We had the takeover of Government Motors rammed down our throats. Our taxes are going up to cover for decades of overspending. Stupid people are making bad policy and walking away without a good coating of tar and feathers when it fails and WE have to suffer the effects of it. We have a government forcing us to walk through a scanner that can see the sweat rolling down one's back or suffer a crotch-grab in public while they exempt themselves! WTF! Consider that for a moment. We are private citizens, buying a ticket on a private carrier, in an airport that is not federal property, and we are subjected to proving OUR INNOCENCE to board our flights! Exactly how many terrorists has the TSA nabbed since 2001? Oh yeah. None. If those scanners are SO IMPORTANT to our security, why were they taped off on a high travel day?

The Patriot Act that the Left mewled about during Bush43's term are strangely silent now. Maybe because their buddy, Ol Union Label Biden wrote it! Maybe because this is just another notch in their agenda, "top down, bottom up, and inside and out," as Van Jones states. Rest assured America, this is going to get worse as the Colossus turns up the heat on the frogs swimming in cold water.

Five, that we WILL NOT give into Islamic terrorism and that we KNOW that we NEED a president who will say, "ONE TEAM, ONE FIGHT!" and who urges Americans to unite and fight for the greatness of our nation, in the military, here and abroad. The current one ain’t it. Bush 43 wasn’t it. BJ Bubba LOATHED the military, and Bush 41 wasn’t it. Y’all KNOW who was! Six, that the mainstream media sucks. How many DECADES did Kronkite, Brokejaw, Peter Lemmings, Dan Blather yammer on with their lies, backstabbing and hamstringing America at every turn. No more.

Perhaps best of all, we are demanding a return of morals, virtue, a love of country, the Constitution as it was written, and justice to our government. Hit a Capitol police officer and see where YOU end up. A recent study stated that 1 in 5 Americans has a mental disease. Oddly enough, Gallup polls usually show that about 20% of Americans declare themselves to be liberals. Weird huh? What is even stranger is that that 20% is running the DHS/TSA at the top, i.e., Nutbag Napolitano.

Let’s examine some of the successes of the TSA since their creation.

1. Posting their security manual online. Classic. It is always a boon to the terrorist to know the security procedures. Usually terrorists have to post recon elements to observe their target’s security procedures, which puts them at risk of getting spotted and counter-surveilled by security personnel. That is Anti-Terrorism 101 and why random security security procedures work so well. The TSA took out the middle man and let the terrorists know exactly what was coming. Awesome.

2. The shoebomber Richard Reid, possibly the ugliest human on the face of the earth, was only busted by the passengers who subdued him. But the TSA and the Federal Gov’t, in their infinite wisdom, have forced millions of passengers to take their shoes off as they go through security. Aren’t there dogs who sniff bombs? Are there not machines that can sniff explosives? Wait, we can’t do that because Muslims don’t like dogs and the ACLU might sue. Oh, and at Detroit, the passengers who had subdued Reid, were held in the baggage area for over five hours until the FBI interviewed them. No food. No phone calls. Americans treated like criminals. Even the pilot was hassled. Gee, had he wanted to, he could've crashed the plane. Duh.

3. The skivvie bomber. One, his father went to the American embassy to warn against his son’s affiliation with al Qaeda and it was evidently ignored and two, the clown botched it, security did not catch it. Perhaps best of all, they DID manage to read him his Miranda Rights. Thank God for that. BTW, the skivvie bomber had no passport. You think someone might have caught that way before he got on the plane?

4. We STILL can’t scan cargo but we can grab crotches and force women to reveal their prosthetic breasts. GO TSA!

5. TSA is currently considering Council on American-Islamic Relations requests for special procedures for screening Muslim women. Guess what, they get to PAT THEMSELVES DOWN! Oh yeah, THAT is gonna work. (Proposed by Mohamed Elibiary, now a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council! What's next for this regime, putting Taliban Johnny Lindh on the Joint Chies of Staff!?)

6. The TSA made a mother drink her own breast milk.

7. The TSA says that terrorists have discussed putting explosives in prosthetics. And they've used womb bombs as well. Do we ALL need cavity searches? (Barney Frank nods yes) And since 2001, there have been no arrests of any American citizen getting on a flight in the United States, with the intent to commit an act of terrorism. ONWARD TSA CROTCH GRABS! (BTW, it appears that Barney Frank is flying incessantly now and opting-out.)

The Gunny studied the Israeli model back in 2003-2004, when he was working for a security professional credential. Oddly enough, they have NOT had ONE INCIDENT since the 70’s. It is called security-in-depth.

1. At the terminal entrance, armed security personnel keep a close watch on those who enter the buildings.
2. Plainclothes personnel (armed) patrol the area outside the terminal.
3. Hidden surveillance cameras operate at all times.
4. ANYONE looking nervous or suspicious, gets chatted up to further assess their intentions.
5. Inside the terminal, uniformed and plainclothes officers patrol at all times.
6. Departing passengers are personally questioned by security agents even before arriving at the check-in desk.
7. Baggage is placed through an X-ray machine unless the person is assessed as a low risk and they get passed straight through to the check-in desks!
8. Checked baggage is put in a pressure chamber to trigger any possible explosive devices.
9. Passengers continue through to personal security and passport control.
10. El Al puts at least one armed, plainclothes sky marshal on all its flights. Here in America, we can’t use retired military, for example, because many of them are over 40 by the time they are sworn-in and that violates... federal law. Kinda sorta a waste of a skilled asset huh and thus, many of our flights are sans a flight marshal.
11. THEY PROFILE. Oh oh, the ACLU, CAIR, the SPLC, and the Left won’t like that.

In a nutshell, NO ONE gets to the check-in counter until they’ve been checked but afterwards, they don’t have to remove their shoes, give up their toothpaste, their nose-hair scissors, or their bottle of water or get to enjoy a crotch grab! The TSA is just another sinkhole for money that has people doing jobs of little or no value to its security mission but it does manage to SNAFU the flying experience. Government to the rescue again. 

And evidently, there are no folks with prosthetic devices in Israel because they don't use that as an excuse.

Top down, bottom up, and inside-out, the Left’s game plan. Make it a HASSLE to travel. Keep you in one place. Aggravate the masses. Hamper airline commerce. All in the name of security. If it violates the Fourth Amendment, WHO CARES!

SEC. 206. FOOD PRODUCTION FACILITIES.

(a) Authorities- In carrying out the duties of the Administrator and the purposes of this Act, the Administrator shall have the authority, with respect to food production facilities, to:

(1) visit and inspect food production facilities in the United States and in foreign countries to determine if they are operating in compliance with the requirements of the food safety law;
(2) review food safety records as required to be kept by the Administrator under section 210 and for other food safety purposes;
(3) set good practice standards to protect the public and animal health and promote food safety;
(4) conduct monitoring and surveillance of animals, plants, products, or the environment, as appropriate;
(5) collect and maintain information relevant to public health and farm practices.

(b) Inspection of Records- A food production facility shall permit the Administrator upon presentation of appropriate credentials and at reasonable times and in a reasonable manner, to have access to and ability to copy all records maintained by or on behalf of such food production establishment in any format (including paper or electronic) and at any location, that are necessary to assist the Administrator:

(1) to determine whether the food is contaminated, adulterated, or otherwise not in compliance with the food safety law; or
(2) to track the food in commerce.

(c) Regulations- Not later than 1 year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Administrator, in consultation with the Secretary of Agriculture and representatives of State departments of agriculture, shall promulgate regulations to establish science-based minimum standards for the safe production of food by food production facilities. Such regulations shall:

(1) consider all relevant hazards, including those occurring naturally,and those that may be unintentionally or intentionally introduced;

(2) require each food production facility to have a written food safety plan that describes the likely hazards and preventive controls implemented to address those hazards;

(3) include with respect to growing, harvesting, sorting,and storage operations, minimum standards related to fertilizer use, nutrients, hygiene, packaging, temperature controls, animal encroachment… and water;

and......

(d) SMALL ENTITY COMPLIANCE POLICY GUIDE.- Not later than 180 days after the issuance of the regulations promulgated under subsection (m) of section 418 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (as added by subsection (a)), the Secretary shall issue a small entity compliance policy guide setting forth in plain language the requirements of such section 418 and this section to assist small entities in complying with the hazard analysis and other activities required under such section 418 and this Section.

Small entities = small farms, gardens, hobby farmers who sell at farmer's markets, etc.
