Ah, we can ALWAYS count on Unrepentant Terrorist Bill Ayers and his libpig wife, Bernadine Dorhn to prove our kids with excellent reading material. http://www.nea.org/tools/17231.htm
Just what every kid needs to read, Comrade Blowbama aka Sir Golfsalot's bible, "Rules for Radicals," by Saul "lefty" Alinsky.
Just in case it disappears down the memory hole.

Recommended Reading: Saul Alinsky, The American Organizer
A Resource for Every Organizer & Anyone Contemplating Action in Their Community
NEA recommends the following Saul Alinsky books to those members of our Association who are involved in grassroots organizing, especially Association Representatives (ARs) — also known as building reps or shop stewards — and leaders at local affiliates. Saul Alinsky is widely recognized as the father of, and pre-imminent expert in, grassroots organizing, which is why we recommend that ARs and local leaders become familiar with his theories & materials.
Alinsky’s writings have been called the “mother’s milk of the left,” however in an ironic homage, the conservative right has borrowed a page or two from the Alinsky playbook. Tea Party leader and self-described “conservative radical” Michael Patrick Leahy, for example, has authored a book based on Alinsky’s teachings: “Rules for Conservative Radicals.”
We hope that ARs and local leaders of all political stripes will discern from Alinsky’s books grassroots organizing strategies that will best help us bring our members together around the common goal of improving public education.

Oh, and in another area, SOROS FUNDED Center for America "Progress" has a report out showing where the federal government could cut American History, Civics, and Economics from school curriculums. After all, we're just too stupid to understand what our betters have planned for us. We should just work (when we can) and trust them. Why bother studying stupid things like the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence, or understanding silly stuff like economics?
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Narrow, low-impact programs should be eliminated. The Department of Education supports numerous, mostly small grant programs that serve niche purposes. Many of these programs should be eliminated, including:
• Academies for American History and Civics. This program, which provides workshops for teachers of American history, is not coordinated with other professional development programs with the Department of Education and is not based on the needs of states and localities.
• We the People. This program is an earmark to the Center for Civic Education to instruct a small number of students on the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.
• Coooperative Education Exchange. This program is another noncompetitive grant to the Center for Civic Education to support curricula and teacher training programs in civics.
• Excellence in Economic Education. This is a small grant program designed to promote economic and financial literacy among K-12 students.
(Anyone ELSE see the intent? WHO helped the Center for American Progress(ives) come up with these cuts?) Anna Burger (SEIU), Elaine Kamarck (Harvard), Sally Katzen (The John Podesta Group), John Koskinen (Freddie Mac), Laura D. Tyson (UoC at Bezerkely)(To name a few Leftists)

(HAT TIP: GLENN BECK) Pass it on folks.
I'm disapointed, I expected Mein Kampf an the Communist Mannifesto as companion readers.
ReplyDeleteOh but we're crazy, there no radicals in Washington. Right?
Looks like I might be adding to His Majesty's unemployment numbers for the 2nd time this year. My position is being "surplussed" at the end of next week, even though our manager told us 3 weeks ago that HR had positions planned out for all of us as our particular production line draws down. Guess he's as believable as a Democrat.
ReplyDeleteJim,
ReplyDeleteIndeed. This regime is chock full of 60's radicals. The good news is that they're old and on the way out. May they have one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel.
Craw,
ReplyDeleteThat sucks. Let me know if I can help via my contact email.
