UPDATE II: From the NY Obama Times in regards to this tragedy:

"The fallout seemed to hold the potential to upend the effort by Republicans to keep their agenda front and center in the new Congress and to alter the political narrative in other ways."

Nice. Using blood and violence against their opponents.

UPDATE: It looks as if Congresswoman Giffords will pull though. Thank God. Americans beat our opponents at the polls, not with violence. Pray for the victims.

WE, as Americans, do not commit violence on our elected officials. We enjoy a peaceful change of power through elections, not through the barrel of a gun. THAT is what sets America apart from a lot of other nations.

That said, the fact that the Left IMMEDIATELY tried to spin this heinous crime as something perpetrated by a right-wing Afghanistan vet is disgusting and THAT pissed off the Gunny. Anything to score political points right Lefties, even if you have to twist, spin, and lie? The TRUTH is, is that Jared Loughner is a deranged liberal, not a gun-toting Tea Partier as the Left spun early on (AZ State Senator Linda Lopez) . One of his favorite books is, "The Communist Manifesto," and another is, "Mein Kampf." Hardly right-wing reading. So Ivan, you got banned again over your nasty little post on yesterday's essay, gloating about this tragedy, but what else could we expect from a godless coward?

A woman named Caitie Parker tweeted: "he was a pot head and into rock like Hendrix, The Doors, Anti-Flag. I haven't seen him in person since '07 in a sign language class" and "As I knew him he was left wing, quite liberal and oddly obsessed with the 2012 prophecy."

May Congresswoman Giffords and the other wounded Americans enjoy a swift recovery and may Jared get a swift trial and a swifter execution. No excuses.

  1. definitely not a leftist, nice try though

  2. I had favorite books: Animal Farm, Brave New World, The Wizard Of OZ, Aesop Fables, The Odyssey, Alice Adventures Into Wonderland, Fahrenheit 451, Peter Pan, To Kill A Mockingbird, We The Living, Phantom Toll Booth, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Pulp,Through The Looking Glass, The Communist Manifesto, Siddhartha, The Old Man And The Sea, Gulliver's Travels, Mein Kampf, The Republic, and Meno.

He had lots of favorite books and you have a selective an inaccurate reality.

  3. I think its a bit early to call him a leftist. Doing it because he likes a book is just stupid. This guys hates the government. That much is certain from his You Tube Channel. All this talk about a new currency and not paying his taxes. The guy is just crazy. To call him a leftist is your way of trying to blame this on all people on the left. Why does it have to be the fault of an entire class of people? Why can't it be that he is just crazy?

  4. Dear Anons,

So how does it feel to broad-brushed smeared?

The Congresswoman was not even in the ambulance yet and the Left was blaming the right. Check out Ivan's post on the previous essay of leftist violence in 2010. Check out the Lapdog Media's reports.

Yes, Jared is a flaming anti-gov't nutjob and crazy as a sh*thouse rat. But rest assured, the left will use this to crack down on guns, our rights, etc. Bet on it.

The Daily KOS tried to wipe violent threats against Giffords from their website but patriots nabbed it:

  5. Anon,

BTW, I picked out the two books (CM/MK) as they are direct political books, i.e., leftist scribblings. I have read both, I have read the Koran, I have read Ayers' crapulence, Prairie Fire, but they are NOT favorites of mine. He calls them "favorites". Is that point too difficult for you to understand?

  6. Seriously. The left blames the right. The right blames the left. It seems nobody actually cares about the fact people died today, all they care about is trying to pin the blame on people who don't agree with them politically.

Can't we all agree for five minutes on something? That this is terrible for the families of those killed and injured, that the guy who did it was a nut and that its great that people tried to stop the killer.

  7. All,

As I am getting bombarded by vicious anons spewing filth, NO LONGER will ANY ANONYMOUS POSTS BE PUBLISHED.

    Pick a handle or STFU.

  8. "We The Living" is an anti-communist rant by right-wing nut Ayn Rand. The books by Orwell and Huxley are embraced by both right wing and left wing people alike. My vote is he was simply trying to look well-read. However, if you want to read anything into the guy's book list try cognitive dissonance, anti-government hysteria and mental instability. Coincidentally, all three are trademarks of right-wingers who are do not realize that liberalism is the foundation of all non-totalitarian states.

  9. agb,

Nice try but no dice. Liberalism has been found to be a mental disorder.

"liberalism is the foundation of all non-totalitarian states?"

How the hell can you puke that one up? This nation was founded on Conservative beliefs as espoused by Burke. And you're trying to cover today's liberal fascists with what USED to be liberalism, i.e., JFK Dems (pro-America/anti-Commie) How many Dems are in the "Progressive Caucus"?

  10. Anonymous:
His favorite books are the Communist Manifesto and Mein Kamph and his favorite video is a burning US flag yet you don't think he is a leftist?
What planet are you on, idiot?

  11. I believe that this young man took way too many phsychedelics. Expanding one's mind is a slippery slope, unfortunately he slipped way off the map. Don't think that he had enough experience with any travel. In GOD'S GREATEST COUNTRY, as you can tell by the caps how sure I am of that, even the most illiterate have a better life than anywhere else. Education was never the governments requirement as an equally created individual, just there biggest recomendation. I go to college, work full time, am married with a three year old child, and have to live with in-laws. Faced with these economical times, I folded the cards, shuffled, and redelt. That's the difference between us, and liberals, we redeal, while they want to pick their cards! When the time comes, and they have razed our way of life, we'll be there to help them help themselves. Go have a fun while it lasts, as always we're here for the future, and every time the future is us, not you, you're a trend. Feel good do it, look where that hasgotten us.

  12. Anon, or whatever you're new nom de plume is:
"..liberalism is the foundation of all non-totalitarian states.."

Get a life. EVERY totalitarian state is founded on principles of liberalism.
    Hitler was a socialist.
    along with
Uncle Joe, Chairman Mao, Fidel, Il Duce, as well as today's Hugo Chavez, Juan Peron, Nancy Pelosi or Barak Obama.
To deny is only to illuminate either your total inability to have ever had an original thought or further illuminates the terrific job the statist education system has done in brainwashing today's youth into a knee jerk stupor spouting ingrained slogans and outright lies that are about as veiled as Mama Cass in a bikini.

  13. I suggest you read John Locke, John Stuart Mill and then move on to John Rawls. Burke was only conservative to a point. He supported the American Revolution, hardly a cause for the real conservatives in his day. Obviously the true conservatives in England opposed the revolution. Sure the man loved church and state (in England they were one and the same), but only to a point. Read more books and watch TV less. Eventually you will discover here is no real philosophy behind conservativism. It is simply the repackaging of once radical liberal values that, over time, have become the norm (the rights of non-property owners, non-whites, women etc.

  14. papasierra83,

Good point. It appears that they tried to link him as an Afghanistan vet but a new report shows his failed the Army enlistment on a piss test.

    The Left has no shame.

  15. Buck,

Good post and I ould have done without the visual of Mama Cass in a bikini!

  16. Gunny:
Didn't think you were old enough to remember Mama Cass.
Just thought it might give the ignoramus something to read up on besides Mao's Little Red Book or Das Kapital....

  17. agb,

Don't watch TV. Sorry but you're full of sh*t, especially since you consider yourself a genius. (yeah, I looked at your sorry site)

You should put down the comic books and pick up "The Conservative Mind," and read the history of conservative thinking for starters.

  18. Buck,

I was a kid, saw her on TV, and remember she weighed almost as much as Michael Mooreon does!

  19. Yeah. But she could sing. So unlike Moore she was a contributor to society.

  20. Right wing nut job, left wing nut job. What the fuck does it matter? They should ALL be put down like the rabid dogs they are.

  21. Just saw where the shooter tried to get into the Army and was rejected.

(likely either drug use or his mental state)

  22. Clyde,

NO DOUBT! What has me so pissed off is that the Left IMMEDIATELY spun it as a right-wing act. They did not know JACK but knee-jerked it! Early reports called him an Afghanistan vet!

  23. Gunny,

You are absolutely correct. When the story broke the blogs and MSN comment sections lit up within minutes with hate mail towards the Right. All of the vitriol was aimed at Beck, Palin, Rush, Hannity, and the Tea Party movement.

Hell, they didn’t even know how many were killed or hurt but that didn’t stop the left from spewing their hate. It’s the same thing happened with the Times Square would-be Bomber and that nut in Baltimore that held a TV station at gunpoint because he heard voices from Al Gore.

The left is certifiably insane. They just love it when a tragedy occurs so they can blame the Right but so far it has always been someone from their team. They must pray daily for a right-winger to crack.

Our mission has always been via the Ballot box, never from the Cartridge box, although we are defenders of both. Never has the Right advocated violence as does the left. How many times did we hear the left praying for the death of Bush or Cheney? How about when Rush had his chest pains? How about when Beck had his illness? It’s sickening.

Oh, we’ve had our fun with Ted Kennedy and Murtha but we never wished for their death. We just applauded when our Maker took care of business.

When this is all said and done, it will probably be the result of Loughner not getting his free cheese from the Hope & Change Market and therefore he cracked. No matter what his political bent is, Loughner deserves the ultimate punishment for what he has done to the victims, the victim’s families, their loved ones, and to the nation at large.

This probably won’t be the last one as the left has just now started to come un-glued.

  24. Anonymous, in addition to having the communist manifesto listed as a "favorite" book, he was also an athiest and considered America to be a "terrorist state".

Funny thing though...most LEFTISTS fit the exact same profile.

Hates America, flag burner, into communism and new age-ism...he's one of YOUR peeps!

  25. BTW Anonymous, Gifford wasn't a total liberal, she was pro-2nd amendment and pro-border security...she was a self-proclaimed blue dog democrat...which means that as opposed to a liberal democrat, she still had some common sense.

  26. This guy was a left wing douche just like his environmentalist moonbat mother. I hope he is executed in the public square so America can enjoy watching him squirm like the coward left wing scum that he is.

  27. The odd thing is that famed atheist, self-proclaimed 'Godless liberal' blogger (says so at the top of his blog), PZ Myers, instantly put up a post about this on his blog Pharyngula last night blaming Sarah Palin for inciting this 'deranged asshole'.

Seems that was before he learnt that the murderer was an atheist.

Now he's gone all quiet on the matter and switched the subject to beer.

Loyal to form, his devoted fan club commenters have been very charitable and not one of them has since mentioned the "A" word.

  28. Since when is "Mein Kampf" and "The Communist Manifesto" leftist reading? Flag burning? Atheism?

You know there are atheist gays who are fringe right wing?

All I know is I'm a VFW, carried that flag on my shoulder when I was running the wounded back to a ccp, never read Mein Kompf or The Communist Manifesto, and I'm called a moderate liberal.

This gross generalization about a guy who was mentally disturbed sickens me. You should be ashamed of yourself.

  29. Discipline Rules.
We've heard Glenn Beck and others telling us to restrain ourselves. Telling us not to resort to violence. Telling us to, in essence, "..hold your fire.."
And we have done well, so far.
It is evident the left has none.

  30. Hardnox,

Great post. I called it when I said the Left would unravel like a roll of shitpaper in a tornado.

  31. Sepp,

On top of that, she voted AGAINST Pelosi as House Speaker the other day. She is more a conservative than a lib. But irregardless of her views, this is not how we in America act and we on the Right know it.

  32. Anon,

That's Ivan for you. In fact, that is LIBERALS in general. They say or do something stupid, why, the next day it is all gone and a clean slate history-wise.

  33. 82AA,

    One thanks for your service.

There is no doubt that this guy is a nut, he had incidents at his college and was booted. My point here is that the facts of the matter are that he was a liberal and NOT the Tea Party gun-toting fanatic a liberal AZ state senator labeled him, before the facts came in.

If you'll read Ivan's post about on the essay about the violent left in 2010 with the video, you'll see why I did what I did.

Also, I am hearing rumors that he was gay AND that the media is squelching it. Why? Because it upsets their apple cart.

Lastly, are you sure you are a moderate liberal? That portion of your party left long ago my friend. We veterans have stayed conservative, as it is the Right that loves this nation. Please, join us.

  34. Jared Lee Loughner

    Coincidence or Conspiracy ?

  35. First, the only "proof" you have that he is a liberal is an unreliable (unverified) source and a reading list.

Even FOX News and the DHS have tied him to American Renaissance, a right wing extremist group:

Yes, I'm sure I'm a moderate liberal. I don't have a "party". I would have voted for Ron Paul, the most conservative man in America, had the GOP political machine given him a snowball's chance in hell.

I'm called liberal by right-wingers because it seems the Right has drifted away from what it is to be conservative and focused on spectacle and rampant corporatism.

Don't get me wrong, the Left has its share of asshats and I'm not throwing my lot in with them either.

I think that the Right and Left have evolved into something that is whole unhealthy for our nation. The Right used to be the temperance of the Left's insistence on change. Now, because of a weakened people and emboldened demagogues both sides flail about and water down any amount of positive legislation that can be passed.

I love my nation and, for the most part, its people. I just think that we've lost ourselves in a vast sea of petty politics and demagoguery. We forgot that this land is a land that is a "... of the people, by the people, for the people" instead of religion and corporations.

Apologies for getting off of topic.

  36. Your claim that all veterans are right is downright disgusting. You act as if you speak for all veterans (which you don't) and act like you know what is best for all veterans (which you don't). You are a veteran. Congrats. I am proud that you served and respect your service to this country. BUT that does not mean you know jackshit about politics or history.

  37. 82AA,

No sweat on getting off topic.

My stance here is against the Left that used this to advance their agenda and will use it to advance other controlling legislation.

I am a Conservative and have stood against the RINOs for a long time. The Right seeks bipartisanship but the Left only seeks it on their terms.

I, and 100% of the regular posters here PRAY for a united nation but if you read the post where I show some of Obama's own words, it seems that the Left is still busy inciting envy and class warfare.

What we won't tolerate is politicians of any stripe trampling the Constitution, in fact, we're tired of it. I am a Tea Party member and have chatted with Democrats, probably like yourself, at rallies. Join us, you'll find that we're just like you.

  38. Anon,

Is there any reason you can't post with a handle? Why hide behind an anon handle?

But to answer your post, I DON'T speak for all veterans but as a voting officer for many elections in the Marines, MOST military people ARE conservative. Why do you think that they seek to limit the absentee ballots or lose them? Please point out where I have directed veterans how to act? That really does not make any sense.

As far as lacking history knowledge, please point out where I am wrong, I usually link my data at the bottom of the page, something I have not seen very many liberal sites do. Politically speaking, I think that I am better informed than most Americans and my reading library consists of things that YOU have likely NOT READ, i.e., the Federalist Paper, the Rights of Man, the Constitution/DoI/BoR, Burke, etc.

  39. What article are you siting exactly? So many are about Obama trying to take over the country. This?

I've spoken with a lot of Tea Party members. A lot of their opinions come from half truths or misrepresentations of policy and legislation. I have not met one that has actually sat down and read any of the bills that they take issue with despite them being on the internet to read.

  40. I haven't read the Rights of Man yet. I'll look into that.

Since you're a Paine fan I'll give you some interesting quotes of his (As it turns out some actually comes from the Rights of Man!, I'll definitely look into it now!):

“To pay as a remission of taxes to every poor family, out of the surplus taxes, and in room of poor-rates, four pounds a year for every child under fourteen years of age; enjoining the parents of such children to send them to school, to learn reading, writing, and common arithmetic…” Thomas Paine, The Rights of Man

"It is painful to see old age working itself to death, in what are called civilised countries, for daily bread... pay to every such person of the age of fifty years ... the sum of six pounds per annum out of the surplus taxes, and ten pounds per annum during life after the age of sixty... This support, as already remarked, is not of the nature of a charity but of a right." Thomas Paine, The Rights of Man.

"There could be no such thing as landed property originally. Man did not make the earth, and, though he had a natural right to occupy it, he had no right to locate as his property in perpetuity any part of it." Thomas Paine, Agrarian Justice.

"Create a national fund, out of which there shall be paid to every person, when arrived at the age of twenty-one years, the sum of fifteen pounds sterling, as a compensation in part, for the loss of his or her natural inheritance, by the introduction of the system of landed property." Thomas Paine, Agrarian Justice.

You know, for the "hardcore" conservative radical you make Thomas Paine out to be he has some pretty liberal ideas.

Alright. You selectively pick the posts I submit and this is way to off topic. Done trolling. Also I didn't mean to start off trolling. You just didn't publish me relevant posts.

  41. 82ndAA is the only one talking sense in this thread.

and anyone who believes Hitler was left-wing, socialist, or 'liberal' is amazingly ignorant. The Nazis fought bloody battles with the Communists in the streets of Berlin and other German towns in the early 1930s. They arrested, tortured, and executed many Communist and Social Democrat leaders in 1933.

I assume someone is going to try and point out that full title of the Nazi party was the National Socialist German Workers' Party, but any socialist elements that once existed within the Nazi party were eliminated along with Ernst Rohm and other SA leaders in 1934 in the Night of the Long Knives.

So Buck and others who believe Hitler to be a socialist, you're completely wrong. But if you want, continue to believe what you want despite what history says, as long as it fits to your preferred narrative of the evil enemy liberal.

This seems to be a rather angry and confused blog, ironically much like the shooter himself.

  42. 82nd AA,

At the bottom of my essays are the links that I get my data from. That way, YOU can read what I am reading and form your own opinion. Again, that is something you won't find on many liberal blogs.

The fiery rhetoric I posted was to show the violence coming from Obama. The Left would have sh*t cinderblocks had Bush 43 said what Obama has said.

There is an essay on this blog about Obama assigning Internet IDs, the same thing they do in China. That is not control? BTW, the link for the article is at the bottom of that page as well.

  43. Anon,

Also, I suggest reading, The Conservative Mind." It thoroughly explains the values and beliefs of Conservatives and you may be surprised that you are one of us.

  44. F,

Is George Reisman ignorant? I would surmise that he knows what the hell he is taking about. Once again, I have real research to back up my claim that Hitler and the Nazis were socialists.

As far as being angry and confused? Not hardly. This blog and the author have never endorsed violence towards our political opponents UNLESS they start it first AND to preserve and defend the Constitution. Huge difference between us in that regard.

  45. I don't think a voluntary program is control. Here's the draft:

"Privacy protection and voluntary participation are pillars of the Identity Ecosystem. The Identity Ecosystem protects anonymous parties by keeping their identity a secret and sharing only the information necessary to complete the transaction. For example, the Identity Ecosystem allows an individual to provide age without releasing birth date, name, address, or other identifying data. At the other end of the spectrum, the Identity Ecosystem supports transactions that require high assurance of a participant’s identity. The Identity Ecosystem reduces the risk of exploitation of information by unauthorized access through more robust access control techniques. Finally, participation in the Identity Ecosystem is voluntary for both organizations and individual."

  46. Your "real research" comes from George Reisman, a well-known follower of the von Mises and Rand school of thought. He writes from a clear ideological position.

I am familiar with Reisman's argument regarding Nazi Germany and I find it far too simplified. Essentially, the government was authoritarian, it controlled the economy, thus it was socialist.

Hitler's Germany cannot be understood in basic left and right economic terms despite what Reisman attempts. The socialism of the Nazis resembled more an ethnic economic nationalism. It wasn't intended to be 'social' or benefit the people, it was designed to restrict access and involvement by foreign 'undesirable' elements and advance the aims of the Nazi ruling elite.

Basically the fascism and racial ideas of the Nazis trumped any economic doctrine. They would pick and choose whatever ideology suited them in order to further their own agenda. For instance, in the beginning they pretended to be true socialists to gain support amongst the disillusioned working class and then once in power they shed this image and allied themselves closely with conservatives and capitalists.

Anyway, have fun with your blog. Take it easy with the hate and the liberal eradication policy. People on both 'sides' want what's best for America, they just have different ideas of how to go about it.

  47. 82ndAA,

I had to laugh that you referenced a dhs site. The same dhs run by an idiot who put out a report on right-wing extremism, slamming returning vets and whitey. The same dhs that has the tsa looking in kid's diapers for suspicious items.

    Three points.

One, social security numbers were never to be used as ID, or so the government said.

Two, income tax USED to be voluntary.

Three, politicians always say that taxes are temporary.

Question. What can the gov't do that LifeLock can't? Not ONE government program is working and we want to rely on them for this? No thanks.

Bottom line? You like libs? Stick with em. You'll never change my mind.

  48. I'm not trying to change your mind. I thought we were having a conversation. The reason I linked to the site is because it is hosting the draft of the new Internet ID program.

SSNs won't be used in the IID program.

Are you talking about apportioned taxes before the 16th Amendment?

As to your question; it seems that the government is trying to make it to where LifeLock's services would no longer be needed. I won't be partaking in these services myself.

Like I said, I'm not trying to change your mind. I was holding a conversation. You made a statement that wasn't true and I shared information that you may have been lacking.

  49. 82nd AA,

We are having a conversation. I used the SSN program to show that the government lies their asses off. They said that SSNs would never be used as ID and here we. My SSN was my serial number in the Corps and it is splayed across the front of my ID for all to see.

How exactly will this be paid for? More taxes? Naturally, and those taxes will go up every year, like they always do. More bureaucracy, more unionized government employees, etc, etc.

Amigo, NOTHING that the government runs is efficient, i.e., welfare, post office, Amtrak, medicare, etc, etc.

My point is that this is yet another Obama move to take control and fix a problem where there is already a solution. The citizen CHOOSES to be with or without protection, i.e., LifeLock.

I don't think the government needs to track my internet usage or invade my privacy yet again.

  50. As this is only a draft I can't answer your questions about it.

I think the military and the post office run pretty efficiently.

LifeLock is not an IID. It is a SSN protection firm. The two are related but not mutually exclusive.

If you don't like it don't get one. I'm with you, I'm not going to be getting one either. Also, you don't need a SSN to be able to live and work in the US. So, if you wanted, you could ditch that too. But, good luck getting a decent private sector job that uses it to check your credit history.

  51. Hated Government? Sounds like every Liberal in America when Republicans are running things....

  52. Income tax was never "voluntary" you wingnut.

But of course, just like all whiny conservative babies, you have a sense of entitlement. You think the Government should do things for you, but you don't want to pay for it.

  53. telly,

You see, this is why I love you stupid liberals so much. You cherry pick ONE thing that supports your argument irregardless of the video on YouTube where that idiot Dingy Reid yaps about the income tax being voluntary right above the one little ol link you found.

And the IRS calls it voluntary because we tabulate what we owe and remit it.

Ain't facts a BITCH? Now get off of your mommy's laptop and go clean your room.

  54. We The Living one of his favorites is as far from liberal philosophy as you can get.

Mein Kampf is not is an attack on judaism and communism/liberalism.

this guy seems more to the extreme radical libertarian or maybe just pure anarchist.

Much of this guys philosophy is anti-left politically.

  55. I like Ron Paul but any true fiscal conservative and libertarian holds ideas about independence and government (much like the tea party) that can be very attractive to certain fringe elements. It's not their fault...i believe paul even referenced in an interview during the primaries that he couldn't choose who supports him (when asked about some radical/conspiracy youtube videos posted by some of his revolution supporters). Some of Loughner's youtube posts are somewhat reminiscent of some of ht videos they more radical paul supporters were posting (contempt of currency/federal reserve....religion....etc).

here is one of your likely heroes glen beck addressing a ron paul rally that was celebrating guy fawkes.

  56. The Left and Right are too busy blaming each other instead of focusing on the real issues that face this country
    - employment
    - deficits
    - declining middle class

At this point I now refuse to vote for either party, as they in large "bought" and paid for by special interests. And by joining the the right vs left bipartisan bickering we enable "special interests" who are equally happy with a democratic or republican party, especially when the focus is not on them.
